FRUTOS DE LOS ANDES LTDA. (FRUANDES) was created in the year 2002.

The business counts since its foundation with the strategic support of the trading Canadian company LEVEL GROUND TRADING LTD (http://www.levelground.com), which also works under the orientation of FAIR TRADE and today is our main client.

Likewise the initiative to create FRUANDES was inspired by two Colombian foundations of socioeconomic development, FAMICAFE (www.levelground.com/famicafe.php) and MENCOLDES, in order to offer high-quality products that would generate relations of equality between the supply chain and the final consumer.

CRONOLOGY OF FRUANDES

• 2002: FRUANDES LTD is created and the first export to Canada is carried out.
• 2003: The model of FAIR TRADE in implemented within the integral praxis of the company.
• 2004: The business opens the doors to new associates being fortified internally.
• 2005: The enlargement of the plant is achieved along with the stabilization of the business (break-even point).
• 2006: Increasing sales (new packing launch) and new clients in the United States.
• 2007: Formulation of the strategic Plan and fundraising for the strengthening of the business.
• 2008: Implementation of the Plan of strategic improvement for satisfaction of a growing market with direct impact in suppliers and workers.
